Inspiring tomorrow’s generation
SLAM programs engage kids in hands-on, experiential learning across all STEM disciplines within exciting and immersive projects that also include arts and humanities.
SLAM is a NESA endorsed provider and works with schools, communities and the education system to develop the skills kids need to grow and thrive in the new and exciting world where collaboration, creativity, design thinking and use of technology will be fundamental to reaching their full potential.
After-School Fun at the Wallsend SLAM Centre
We are opening the first SLAM centre at the beginning of term 2!
The Wallsend SLAM Centre is at Callaghan College Wallsend Campus for years 5-8 students. Students from local primary schools will be picked up by our bus and brought to the high school grounds to join year 7 and 8 students for afternoons of STEM fun and digital creativity.
SLAM has re-thought the provision of STEM Professional Learning for primary school teachers. Rather than single days with limited follow-up, SLAM effectively embeds a professionally qualified facilitator within a school for a whole year.
Negotiated with the Principal and called Next Level Professional Learning, the program will occur over one year with the core program covering two terms.
SLAM Education is endorsed to provide the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level.
