After-school and holiday STEM workshops
SLAM started life in 2017 designing and delivering after-school and holiday STEM workshops in the Newcastle area for children aged 10 to 15.
We ceased delivering these programmes in 2019.
We took the prevailing coding and robotic workshops, and expanded them to include more broadly-based STEM activities such as stomp rockets, MakeyMakey, and flying model aeroplanes.

-
Two involving bush science using quadrats, transects and a very new primary education inquiry tool called the Kookaberry
-
One a demonstration of commercial drones by Uavair
-
One creating 360 degree videos using equipment from the Department's T4L facility at Redfern
